UM Staff Advisory Council was
formed to provide two-way communication between staff and the
President on
pertinent issues. If you have comments
or questions about any subject related
to UM System staff, please contact
one of your Council members. They are there
for you!
Your staff council is knee-deep in the hoopla of planning this year's Staff Recognition Week activities. As a reminder, we have scheduled the week of May 14th for this year's festivities. Trivial Pursuit will be held on May 15th at the Forum Boulevard Christian Church. The Staff Luncheon will be held on May 16th at the Donald W. Reynolds Alumni Center. The Staff Picnic will be held on May 18th at Twin Lakes Park. All activities are scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
On-line registration is posted on the UM SAC website. If you have not registered for an event but plan to attend, please complete the on-line registration form as soon as possible. Accurate registration information is vital for us to plan each event. Also, for those who plan to attend Trivial Pursuit, please remember that teams are limited to 8 members.
I would like to thank all of you who took the time to nominate a fellow staff member for one of the staff awards this year. Your nominations provide clear evidence that UM System staff carryout the mission of the University in an exemplary manner each and every day. Kudos to all of you!
Our next scheduled meeting is Friday, April 6th, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the 215 Conference Room, University Hall. Much of our time during this meeting will be spent on SRW planning. As always, we welcome your comments, questions, and suggestions. We are here for YOU!
Warm regards, Rusty
UM SAC Chair Rusty Crawford

Congratulations to the following UM-System Staff members who have attained these milestones of service
Imagine
Columbia’s Future represents an exciting opportunity
for the citizens of Columbia to create a community vision. The formulation
of the vision – along with the goals, objectives, and strategies
to promote its implementation – will be based on both intuitive
input and factual information. The hundreds of ideas gathered from
the public at the BIG Meetings and through surveys in the fall of
2006 represent the intuitive component of the vision. Check out
