UM Staff Advisory Council Members 2006-2007

Words from the Chair

Greetings!

Is it really time for another school year to begin? No way! It seems like the "kids" were just getting out yesterday. While I hate to see summer come to an end, I'm certainly looking forward to cooler weather (and Mizzou football)!

I mentioned in the last newsletter that we have four vacant positions to fill on Council. As I write this column, we have received and confirmed only three nominations. With that in mind, we have decided to extend the deadline to submit your nomination; you now have until August 15th, 2007 to submit your nomination. As a reminder, two positions are in the administrative/professional category, each of which is for a three-year term. Two positions are in the service/support category, one of which is for a three-year term and the other is for a one-year term. If you know someone who would like to be a part of SAC, please consider nominating that person. If you are interested in being a part of SAC, self-nominations are always welcomed.

Don't forget, our next scheduled meeting is Friday, September 14th at 8:30 a.m. in the 205 Conference Room, MOREnet. As always, we welcome your comments, questions, and suggestions. We are here for YOU!

Warm regards, Rusty
UM SAC Chair Rusty Crawford
