Greetings!

Plans for a trivia event in November are underway!! Stay tuned for details as they become available. This is a very popular event which was truly missed as part of the Staff Recognition activities so we are glad to be able to offer it once again.

Please welcome the new council members. We are excited to have them join us. If you have questions please feel free to contact me or any of the Council members for assistance.

  • New Staff Advisory Council Members

    Christy Ludeman

    Christy Ludeman has been with Institutional Research and Planning for three years. Prior to transferring, she worked at the Center for Family Policy and Research, Otolaryngology, Association for the Study of Higher Education, Bulk Mail Center, and Printing Services. She has been working for the University of Missouri since 1988.In addition to working, she also volunteer as a Wellness Ambassador, United Way Key Person, Safe Kids Columbia, and adopted Friends of Mauller Road.Her husband works for Campus Facilities. They have three children.

    Kim Oliver is a Benefits Advocate with Faculty and Staff Benefits at the University of Missouri System and has been employed for 2 years. Hobbies include Skiing, camping, boating, fishing, bow fishing, cooking, movies, beading, crafts and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys traveling to places like Bloomington Minnesota to see family and friends.She is single and resides in Jefferson City, MO.

    Pamela Schopflin

    Pamela Schopflin I started with SOS in August., 2005. I worked for the hospital in CED once and Contracts Administration twice. I was then offered a job as an OSSIV working for Contracts Administration, Supply Distribution, Motor Transport, Informatics, Purchasing and Value Analysis. I am now Tony Hall's assistant who is the Director of a new department, Sourcing and Supply Chain which includes all but Motor Transport and Informatics. Sourcing and Supply Chain is now part of System instead of the hospital. I moved to Columbia about 6 years ago, from St. Louis, to be near my grandchildren and they are now my biggest hobby along with my dog, Murphy!! I love to read and am also involved with Healthy for Life as an ambassador, trying to get healthy.

    Jenny Workman

    Jenny Workman is a MU graduate.Jenny has been employed by the University for over 10 years now. She started in Research and Arthritis and is now the Program Manager for MU - Healthy for Life which is the T.E. Atkins University of Missouri Employee Wellness Program. Jenny has been involved in health and wellness field for over 20 years. She enjoys being involved in the Columbia community and has been happily married for almost 15 years.

    Shirts for Sale

    UM Staff Advisory Council has had requests for more UM logo shirts. We also had a request for more color selections so you'll notice we've got several color choices available for each style. Some color names vary according to shirt style but we tried to get each of the colors in each style if possible. We also included black and gray again for those that did not get to order last time or might want an additional shirt in one of those colors.

    The order form is attached in this email. Note there are two order forms….one for the round seal and one for the square logo (see below). Please be sure to note the correct size, color and quantity. The polo shirts are available in men’s or women’s cut. Please be sure to specify which style you want. No refunds or exchanges will be issued unless the shirt you receive is not what you ordered. Previous orders have shown that the unisex shirts are generous in size so please adjust accordingly when making your order.

    Greetings from your SAC Newsletter editor. 

    Please help us welcome the new council members. Hope all of you had time this summer to take advantage of some of our discounts we have to offer on our website.We have shirts for sale and will also be bringing back the Go-Green Bags to raise money for United way. If you didn't get one last time consider it this time as they are very sturdy. I use mine all the time as it is really great for getting stuff at Farmer's Market.

    We are committed to finding ways to help and aid the staff in any way we can so PLEASE help us to help you.

    Staff Advisory Council meetings are open to all UM System Staff. Meeting times are 8:30 a.m. -10:30 a.m. the second Friday of the month. The location of each meeting changes, so contact a council
