Words from the Chair

Congratulations to the UM Tigers for their win at the Cotton Bowl.  What a perfect way to celebrate New Year’s Day in 2008.   

As with most New Year plans, there are those of us that make resolutions.  Some of us make resolutions dealing with our personal life, our professional life, and some of us make resolutions relating to our health.  If you are in the later category, I encourage you to visit the Healthy for Life; T.E. Atkins UM Wellness website http://www.umsystem.edu/ums/curators/wellness/ to see if there are steps that you can take in improving your total wellbeing.  2008 may be the perfect year to make changes that will last a lifetime. 
 
Our next monthly SAC meeting is scheduled for January 11, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Conference Room 321, University Hall.  All UM staff is invited to attend.  If you cannot attend but would like to share a comment, concern, or suggestion, please email me at ihlerm@umsystem.edu or call one of the UM SAC members so that your concern can be added to our agenda.  Our UM SAC address is http://sac.umsystem.edu/.  You will find a listing of all committee members, their telephone numbers, and their email addresses.  The UM SAC committee looks forward to hearing from you.

Staff Advisory Council meetings are open to all UM System Staff. Meeting times are 8:30 a.m. -10:30 a.m. the second Friday of the month. The location of each meeting will change in 2007, so contact a council
member if you are interested in attending.
