The program combines risk reduction education and physical defense training in hopes of preventing the abduction of children. This class is free to all children of students, faculty, and staff.
  • R.A.D. CLASSES

Words from the Chair...
I hope everyone had a Happy New Year and that you are all ready to make 2005 a great year both personally and professionally. The University has gone through some very tough times concerning funding in the past few years and that may be the case again this year. Lets all rally behind President Floyd and continue the high standard the UM Staff has maintained for years.

Staff Recognition Week is scheduled the week of May 16 - 20, 2005. Please keep dates open that week so you can attend the SRW activities to be announced.

Richard Begemann

Staff Awareness...Flexible Spending Accounts

Use it or Lose It - This is a reminder to employees who are currently enrolled in a Health Care or Dependent Care Spending Account that expenses must be incurred by the end of the year to receive reimbursement from your 2004 account contributions. You will have until March 31, 2005 to submit reimbursement requests for any 2004 expenses. The expense must be incurred in 2004 or you will forfeit any amount remaining in the account.

For the Health Care Spending Account, please remember that health care expenses not covered by your health plan are eligible for reimbursement plus many other health expenses. For a list of reimbursable services or other expenses please go to: <http://www.asiflex.com/misc.htm>
