UM Staff Advisory Council Members 2005-2006

Words from the Chair

The UM Staff Advisory Council hopes that you enjoyed the events of Staff Recognition Week. We had 18 teams registered for Trivial Pursuit; 143 employees registered for the Awards Reception; and 204 employees for the Picnic, which included 19 retirees. For those who missed the Awards Reception, along with the award winners we also recognized those with years of service milestones. Years of service milestones are listed below in the Awards Reception section.

These are the numbers for service years I shared at the Reception:

30 with 5 years = 150 yrs
19 with 10 years = 190 yrs
8 with 15 years = 120 yrs
13 with 20 years = 260 yrs
7 with 25 years = 175 yrs
4 with 30 years = 120 yrs
4 with 35 years = 140 yrs
1 with 40 years = 40 yrs
86 total staff = 1195 yrs

That is an amazing number of years of service! Thank you to each and every employee we recognized at the Reception, and thanks to all of you for your service to the University!

I'd also like to thank the Council for their hard work in preparing and hosting the SRW events. You did a great job!! Thanks!!!

It's almost time for elections for new SAC members. If you are interested in running for SAC, please contact any of the Council members, or watch for election information in the July newsletter.

Have a great summer!
