UM Staff Advisory Council Members 2005-2006

Words from the Chair

Spring is on the way, and so is Staff Recognition Week (SRW) 2006! The links for signing up for each event will be available shortly on the SAC website http://www.umsystem.edu/sac/. Be sure to sign up and join in the fun! We have also extended the deadline for nominations for the staff recognition awards to Friday, March 17th. If you know someone deserving of an award, please nominate them. The form is available on the SAC website, http://www.umsystem.edu/sac/srw/index.html, or you can send an electronic version, which is also available on that page.

For those of you who are disappointed that we are having an awards reception rather than a luncheon, I would like to reiterate the reason we decided to do this. Due to the 10% reductions the President has asked for, SAC felt we should do our part in trying to save costs. I hope you will join us for the reception, and help honor your fellow staff members who will be recognized for their years of service, and those receiving the special awards.

Chair Becky Bohlmeyer 2005-2006 UM SAC

Staff Recognition Week
May 15-19, 2006

Mark your calendars now so you do not miss one minute of activity during SRW. The purpose of Staff Recognition Week is to recognize your service and your dedication to the University. Awards are also given to those who have been nominated and are selected by a committee for their outstanding service. UM Staff Recognition Awards are presented to staff that best represent the University through a combination of criteria related to performance, leadership, reliability, and dependability, along with their ability to relate their work to the mission and goal of the University.

Deadline March 17, 2006!
