Greetings,

flower I look forward to warm balmy days with green grass changing the landscape, yellow jonquils blooming, and birds frolicking on the lawns. As warmer weather greets us each day, it is good to know that Spring will officially arrive in just a few short weeks and with warmer weather Staff Recognition Week 2008 (SRW) is getting close.  Thank you for your participation in nominating colleagues during the month of February for various UM award categories.  Your contribution was appreciated.  If any of you that nominated need confirmation that we received your nomination, please call 882-3400 or email umsac@umsystem.edu to confirm.  Everyone should have received a “thank you” note once your online form was received at the umsac@umsystem.edu email address. 
UM Staff Recognition Week 2008 is scheduled for May 12-16.  Currently on schedule are Trivial Pursuit - May 13th, Staff Appreciation Luncheon - May 15th, and Staff Picnic - May 16th. All activities are scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. You soon will be able to register online for all activities.  You can go to our UM SAC website address http://sac.umsystem.edu; navigate to Staff Recognition Week for details relating to the week.  An email blast notice will be tossed your way when all online systems are available for registration for the various activities. 
Our next regularly scheduled SAC meeting is Friday, March 15th, 2008 at 8:30 a.m. in University Hall Room 225.  As always, we welcome your comments, questions, and suggestions and we invite you to attend our open meetings. We are here for YOU!

Staff Advisory Council meetings are open to all UM System Staff. Meeting times are 8:30 a.m. -10:30 a.m. the second Friday of the month. The location of each meeting changes, so contact a council
member if you are interested in attending.
