UM Staff Advisory Council Members 2008-2009

Words from the Chair

Greetings!

I hope each of you will consider coming to show support to the large number of folks we have that will be receiving recognition for years of service to the University as well as individuals who were selected as recipients of the awards. With combining the picnic and the awards presentations together in one event it should prove to be an interesting event. Not to mention a great lunch!

The conversations of previous announcements about retirement contributions, furloughs, etc. seems to be calming down. As always, if you have questions or comments you would like to share with the council, please feel free to forward them to the UM SAC e:mail or to any of the individual council members.

As always, your Council wants to hear from you. Let us know how we can best represent you!.

Warm regards,
Toni Monsen

Staff Awards and Picnic

Twin Lakes Recreation Area Thursday May 14th at 11:30am

The Staff Awards and Picnic is being combined this year and with that comes casual attire. President Forsee has given permission for it to be a Jean day. It is casual so come join us for some great food and to cheer on the Service award winners. We have some great prizes to give away this year including 2 digital cameras and 2 navigation systems. Bandanas is catering the event this year. The reason for the shift from our former caterer this year is that it saved us several dollars per person and when we are feeding several hundred people it adds up quick. Hope to see you there.

  • Activities will include Volleyball, Washers, Croquet and Bocce ball.
