UM Staff Advisory Council was formed to provide two-way communication between staff and the President on pertinent issues. If you have comments or questions about any subject related to UM System staff, please contact one of your Council members. They are there for you!

Words from the Chair

We have begun a new UM Staff Advisory Council year, and I have the honor of serving as your SAC Chair. I would like to thank those members leaving the Council - Karen Huggins, Linda Okamura, Mark McQuitty, and Andy McAllister for their time spent serving on the Council. I would also like to welcome the new members Tanya Haeussler, CJ Smith, Mary Ann Ihler, and Rebecca Wall. Thanks for volunteering to serve.

Council meetings are open to all UM employees, and I would like to encourage everyone to attend.

Staff Awareness of United Way

Trivia Night was also a wonderful success. Everyone is attendance expressed delight in the evening's activities and fun was reported by all. Thanks to UM System's Marketing Committee: Karen Borgers- Treasurer's Office, Donna Barnes- ICS Department, and Tanya Haeussler -Management Services Division for planning, arranging prizes, and working this fun event. Thanks also to Uncle Scotty for providing "entertainment" and serving as Master of Ceremonies for the evening. Funds raised at this event totaled, $922.00. This event was so successful that it may become an annual event.

The Chevy's Fresh Mex fundraiser held on November 8, 2005 was very well attended. $101.98 was raised as a result of many of you enjoying meals and once again making a difference in the lives of many people needing assistance. Your efforts helped us get closer to our goal.

As of November 11, 2005, we are reporting......$59,645.18, which includes the Trivia Night and Chevy's Fresh Mex fundraisers. As of November 11, 2005, we are at 96% of our goal and feel confident that other monies will come forward so that we can attain our goal of $62,000.00. Thank you for supporting United Way!!

We welcome suggestions from you on issues of interest and look forward to presenting those matters to the entities that can best assist is those matters or make change.
